About me: I'm Emily H. I usually go by my nickname, Emma, but call me either. ^_^ I'm also known as UniverseDreams here on DA and practically everywhere else online. I'm 18 years old, live in southern California, have a kind and fun personality, and a LOT of interests and dreams. I’m very passionate about life and music is my biggest inspiration in everything I do. I have many goals and I work every day towards making those goals a reality. The media on this account is extremely varied, reflecting all of my interests and crafts, and I hope you'll enjoy and leave feedback in the form of constructive criticism as I am always trying to improve.
About my writing: I am primarily a writer and in the future, I wish to become an author as my main profession and write many books. Currently, I enjoy writing a lot of fanfiction for my favorite movies, TV shows, and anime, as well as some original fiction. My primary writing genres are adventure, angst, romance, and hurt/comfort, though I write pretty much every other genre as well. My personal writing style is the 'third person, subjective' format with many of my own personal touches. For my full writer’s profile as well as my written material, visit my FF.net and FictionPress accounts (links below).
About my art: In addition to being a writer, I am also a digital artist. I believe that I am beginning to reach an intermediate level with my art skill, and I am always trying to learn and improve my techniques. Art is still a hobby for me at this point, but I am trying to transition into a student with it as I hope to create art on a professional level in the future as well as illustrate my future books. I mainly draw fanart for my interests and stories and I also do a fair amount of original art for other interests of mine. I have many different art styles (I am not yet sure how to define or describe my primary art style) and I usually work in some characteristics of a cartoon's/anime's own respective style in the case of my fanart. My ultimate goals in art are to someday be able to draw realistic people, settings, and landscapes, and realistic planetscapes and spacescapes like one of my favorite artists here, priteeboy.
Hobbies/interests: I love pretty much anything having to do with the arts. Besides my main two hobbies of writing and digital art, I also love photography, dancing, ballet, singing, sewing/cosplay, arts and crafts, jewelry creation, fashion design, modeling, music, songwriting, reading, video-making, acting/role-playing, party-planning, cooking, walking, PC gaming, Neopets, and Webkinz. I love each and every one of my hobbies, but it's really hard to find time to be consistently and simultaneously productive in all of them.

“The best advice that I ever received from anybody about anything in my life and you can use it in any situation is that you are absolutely perfect exactly the way you are, and you never have to doubt yourself because you're exactly who you're supposed to be, and you're exactly the way you're supposed to be, so you don't ever have to worry about that again. And that's, that really helps.” - John Rzeznik
It's always in the last place you look... Well, of course it is. Why the heck would I keep looking after I found it?

Things That Make You Go Hmmm...
Why is it called common sense if it's so rare?
Why do we drive on parkways and park in driveways?
Why do hot dogs come 10 in a package and hot dog buns only 8?
If you try to fail, and succeed, which have you done?
How is it that we put man on the moon before we thought to put wheels on luggage?
Why do we keep coming back to the refrigerator in hopes something new to eat will have materialized?
Why do grocery stores have so many checkout line registers but only keep 3 or 4 open?
When people say "PIN number," do they know they're saying "Personal Identification Number Number?”
Why do banks charge you a "non-sufficient funds" fee on money they already know you don't have?
Why do you press harder on the buttons of a remote control when you know the batteries are dead?
Why are Christmas lights packaged with the warning, "For indoor or outdoor use only?” Where else would you put them? In space?
Why do companies offer you "free gifts?" Since when has a gift NOT been free?
Why are they called apartments when they’re all stuck together?
Why is the time of day with the slowest traffic called rush hour?
Why is clear considered a color?
Why does Hawaii have interstate highways?
If it's zero degrees outside today and it's supposed to be twice as cold tomorrow, how cold is it going to be?
Why do toasters always have a setting that burns the toast to a horrible crisp, which no decent human being would eat?
You can't have everything. Where would you put it?
If something "goes without saying," why do people still say it?
